The Bible has no commercials.

We like Netflix. We like watching tv episodes and moving that progress bar slightly to the right so we can skip the intro and get right to the story. No commercials.

That nifty feature on Netflix reminded me of the Bible. Even with the harder chapters of Numbers, first and second Chronicles and the overlapping stories of Judges, the Bible has no commercials. God’s Word does not take a break from letting us know how specific, endless, tender and accurate the Lord really is with Scripture and the message of His Son, Jesus.

Second Timothy 3:16 reads, ” All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” I am thankful that God used every word, verse and chapter for purposes that we may not always understand, but He included it in His Word because someone in this vast world will capture the Truth in that verse, however obscure, and it will be a meaningful reassurance to that soul. The Lord gave us a Bible where everything counts.

I pray that you enjoy your Bible reading today and that you experience first-hand just how personalized His message is for you.
